Jesus' disciples asked Him, "What must we do to do the works of God?" He answered, "This is the work of God, that you believe in the One whom He has sent." Jesus couldn't have made it plainer. If He wanted them to perform good deeds to qualify for Heaven, this would have been the perfect time to say so. But instead, He made it clear that the response He wanted was simply faith in Him, nothing more. |
