How much doubt can we have and still make a good decision? In a court of law, a juror can properly convict someone based on the standard of certainty described as "beyond reasonable doubt." That's a lot different from "beyond a shadow of a doubt" or "without any doubt." In other words, some doubt is unavoidable, as is the case in nearly everything we believe in life.

C.S. Lewis warned that even after someone becomes convinced through reason that the evidence for the claims of Christianity is solid, he or she would soon be assailed by doubt.
