Now, that doesn't mean that all religions have it all wrong. There are some things about which Jesus, Buddha, Confucius and Muhammad agree. There are true statements and beliefs in nearly all religions. C.S. Lewis said that when he moved from atheism to Christianity, he was able to take a more liberal view of the various religions. When he was an atheist, he had to believe that all religions were all wrong, that the main point in all the religions is a huge mistake and that the vast majority of the people throughout history had been wrong about the one thing that mattered most to them. But, when he became a Christian, he came to believe that all these religions, even the strangest ones, contain some hint of the truth.
