Prayer is conversing with God. First, we should express to Him our understanding of the problem, that God is a holy and perfect God and that we have sinned and separated ourselves from Him. Next, we can express our thanks for His solution of sending His son to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins. Then, we can simply tell Him that we accept Jesus Christ, that we receive the gift of His payment, and that we're placing our trust in Christ and not in our own goodness. |
