What turned cowards into historic warriors?
Many people are willing to die for a cause, but the disciples went through a radical change from cowards to heroes. Before the resurrection, every disciple abandoned Jesus. After the resurrection, 11 of the 12 willingly suffered violent deaths for telling others about Jesus and his resurrection. The New Testament cites the resurrection as the cause of this reversal of actions and character. If the resurrection didn't happen, how would one explain the sudden change from cowardice to courage? While people die for causes, they only die for causes they believe are just and true.
