Future hope doesn't remove present suffering
We obviously still have plenty of suffering to deal with in this life, but knowing what we have to look forward to injects us with hope and courage to face the things that come our way.

Imagine that you are in a POW camp. On your first night in prison, you hear God's voice give you a message, "Although you're going to be here for three more years, you will be released. You'll have no permanent injuries, and your family will be waiting for you with open arms. Wouldn't that make a tremendous difference in how you handle your suffering for those three years in prison?
