Does that mean I
can always be happy?
Happiness is a surface feeling we get when everything's going our
way. Peace and joy are much deeper than that. It's a sense that
I'm okay because of God's love for me, even though my circumstances,
at this particular time, may be lousy. What we're being offered
is peace and joy as our faith develops and grows, but we're never
guaranteed a painless life---not until we get to heaven.
