Could Jesus be a good prophet, but not God?
C.S. Lewis said that if Jesus was not the God He claimed to be, then "his words would imply a silliness and conceit unrivaled by any other character in human history."

The one thing we know is that Jesus could not have been merely a good teacher and prophet since He claimed to be God. He didn't just claim to be a teacher and a prophet. If He really is God, calling Him a teacher and a prophet would be a patronizing insult and tantamount to a total rejection of His claim. If on the other hand He claimed to be God when He wasn't, then how can we even call Him a good prophet?
