The logical possibilities are limited. He claimed to be God, so He must either be right or wrong. If He was right, then He is God, not just a good teacher or prophet. If He was wrong in His claim to be God, He either knew He was wrong, or He didn't know He was wrong. If He was wrong (He claimed to be God but was not) and knew He was wrong, you'd have to call Him a liar. Someone who lies like that about his own identity is neither a good teacher nor prophet.
Now, if He claimed to be God, was wrong about it but didn't realize He was wrong about it, He'd be a lunatic. His claim to be God was at the center of His teaching.
