That was then. What about now?
Years ago, a chief in a remote village in South America got frustrated with the impotence of the gods he worshipped. He knew that he himself had made the wooden idols he bowed down to, and when the wind blew and knocked them over, he had to go pick them up. He began to plead in his heart that if there was some kind of real true God that he would make himself known to him somehow. Ten years after this chief first began to seek in this way, some missionaries flying overhead saw his isolated village and decided to drop some brochures about Jesus Christ out the window. The pilot objected because he knew the villagers wouldn't know any Spanish, but the missionary insisted.
