Simon Greenleaf was an expert on circumstantial evidence and an ardent skeptic of Christianity. He used to poke jabs at some of his law students regarding the naivete of their faith. But after accepting a challenge to apply legal evidence to the case for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, he did a 180-degree turnaround. He became convinced that Jesus had actually come back from the dead, and he wrote a book about the evidence, The Testimony of the Evangels. Now, his being a skeptic, brilliant and trained in the field of legal investigation doesn't prove that the resurrection actually happened. But, it does indicate that there's a tremendous amount of evidence that most people have never examined. |
