Couldn't Jesus have revived in the tomb?
Even after these really clear indications of death, putting him in a cool damp tomb and wrapping him in gummy spices is hardly recommended medical procedure for reviving somebody -- actually, it probably would've finished him off. If he wasn't dead, he pushed over a two-ton stone, frightened a group of seasoned, hardened soldiers -- who were threatened with capital punishment if they let a prisoner escape -- and then walked a couple miles on pierced feet to finally convince his disciples that he had defeated death. Now, talk about a miracle!
