Another thing about hallucinations is that they also tend to have a sameness, a repetitiveness. But the accounts of Jesus' appearances were distinct. He talked to a woman and to a man -- to individuals. He walked and talked with a couple of people on the road to Emmaus. He talked to the disciples in a group and appeared at one point to as many as 500 people. That's important since hallucinations appear to individuals, not to groups.
