If Jesus predicted his death and his resurrection and if he actually pulled it off, wouldn't that be a solid objective basis for believing in him? It's the kind of evidence that you would use to decide a legal case, as Simon Greenleaf did, to validate an event of history.
Do you believe that Abraham Lincoln lived, that he was the 16th president and that he gave the Gettysburg Address in 1863? If yes, why? You never saw him or talked with him. You weren't there in 1863 when he gave that famous speech, and you never talked to anyone who was there.
